Phi Sigma Pi (or ΦΣΠ) is the only honors fraternity at UTSA and in the nation. It's a co-ed fraternity in that members call each other brothers regardless of sex, but it's not "Greek" in the sense that it doesn't fall under the governance of any of the Greek councils and in that brothers of ΦΣΠ may join another social fraternity or sorority. (You can't join more than one traditional social fraternity or sorority, even if you transfer to a university that doesn't have the one you were initiated under.) UTSA's chapter is the Epsilon Mu chapter.
ΦΣΠ's GPA requirement is a 3.0 cumulative as of the time of your application. The first semester's dues are $250 and they are $96 each semester after that. Some events that ΦΣΠ has done are their H20 Project for alcohol safety awareness, a children's shelter art class, and the Stuff the Bus school supplies drive.
Member Phi Sigma Pi BJ Winston won Mr. UTSA 2011 for the fall semester. Kelly Gambill won the Student Leader of the Month award for December 2007/January 2008. After it was renamed Roadrunner of the Month, Winston won for February 2011.
