Phi Gamma Delta, abbreviated not by its constituent Greek letters but rather by the designation "FIJI", was a social fraternity under the governance of the Interfraternity Council. FIJI was suspended from December 31, 2008 to December 31, 2013 due to a hazing incident.[1] After the suspension lapsed, FIJI remained dormant at UTSA until recently, when the fraternity re-colonized at UTSA.
FIJI won the men's league of intramural volleyball in 2002 and the 2006 award for Most Member Participation in the Golf Cart Parade. FIJI Derek Trimm won Mr. UTSA 2010 and Student Body President 2010-2011. FIJI Roger Frigstad won Mr. UTSA Spring 2011.
