The May 2013 Commencement ceremony was UTSA's official commencement ceremony celebrating graduates of the Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 semesters.

It was the first commencement to take place in the Alamodome. In the Convocation Center, space had been tight enough to have to ration tickets, which had proven controversial. However, a change in fire code regulations before the December 2012 Commencement meant not even being able to use 50% of the upper deck. This had to do with the lack of exits upstairs. Continuing to have such large crowds in the Convo would have meant renovations.

It featured two ceremonies, on Monday May 13 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Alamodome already had booked a San Antonio Talons arena football game for May 11.[1] With fewer ceremonies, the number of university marshals likewise was fewer. No faculty stage party representatives were mentioned in the brochure.
