For other uses, see Maverick Creek (disambiguation).

Maverick Creek starts in the hill country around the intersection of Babcock Road and Terra Mont, well past The Estates at Crown Ridge. Two major forks join it, one starting at Crownridge Canyon Park and one off of Heuermann Road. Its route basically follows Babcock Road, flowing just east of Las Colinas and Alpin Park apartments, just southeast of Maverick Creek Villas, just west of West Campus on the Main Campus, and just west of Maverick Creek Homes. It flows into Leon Creek at Bamberger Park.

As with most San Antonio creeks, it is dry most of the year and serves as part of the city's flood management system and the area immediately surrounding it has been declared by the city a 100-year flood plain.[1]
