The Outstanding Professional Staff Award is given out at Student Government Association's annual University Life Awards. Starting with the 2013 University Life Awards, the award was renamed the John Kaulfus Outstanding Professional Staff Award in honor of the former SGA advisor and Associate Dean of Students who left UTSA to become Dean of Students at Texas A&M-Commerce.
