The Actors From the London Stage (or AFTLS) are a Shakespearean acting troupe who regularly tours at UTSA. Coming approximately once a year, the group's performances at UTSA are sponsored by the Department of English (formerly Department of English, Classics, and Philosophy) and the UTSA Friends of Shakespeare.

Performing in the Arts Building Recital Hall, the group takes a minimalist approach to the plays, with only five actors, minimal costume changes, and no backdrops. The actors themselves are British but have their American tours arranged by Shakespeare at Notre Dame from the University of Notre Dame. The actors are professionals and visit each university who participates for a "residency" of about a week. They operate with no director, making each one responsible for the success of the whole play.[1]
