The 2003 softball season for the women's varsity team saw them go 15-40, including 7-20 in the Southland Conference and 9-13 at home, UTSA's worst ever overall and conference records. Despite UTSA's worst ever record, this year began the 4-year streak of leading NCAA Division I softball in home runs per game, the longest consecutive such reign in Division I history.[1]
